Mehrzad Bazyar, MS. LMFT. is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-108725 & NPI # 1811474513) who has been providing clinical supervision for the Interns/associates/trainees at Dialectica Family Therapy since 2023. Mehrzad is also providing supervision for the Conejo Adult Clinic at the County of Ventura where he works as a “Mental Health Clinician” following passing the “VCBH Advanced Supervision Courses”. Mehrzad is experienced in helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, Grief and Bereavement, self-esteem, and interpersonal/relationship issues in his private practice. He provides psychotherapy and family counseling in a safe, empathic, non-judgmental, and non-pathological environment.
Mehrzad’s approach is integrated of “Cognitive Behavioral”, “Adlerian”, “Family System”, “Client Centered”, “Solution Focused” and “Reality Therapy”. He offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each client individually. Mehrzad’s desire is to provide a respectful, nurturing, and safe environment to reach therapeutic goals. Mehrzad received his Aassociate degree in “General Studies” from Indiana University and his Bachelor degree in “Psychology” from University of California Santa Barbara and his Master of Science in “Counseling Psychology” with an emphasis in “Marital and Family Therapy” from California Lutheran University. He also trained at Camarillo Hospice as a “Grief and Bereavement Counselor” and trained as a “Couple Counselor” at the “Wheel of Wellbeing Center”.
Mehrzad Bazar has working experience at the “Community Counseling Services” of California Lutheran University (2014-2015). He was working at “Camarillo Hospice” as a “Grief and Bereavement Counselor” in 2016. Mehrzad was working at “Aurora Vista Del Mar Behavioral Hospital” in Ventura city as a “Psychotherapist” from June 2016 providing assessment, treatment planning and therapy for more than 1700 adolescent and adult patients until “The Thomas Fire” destroyed the hospital on Dec. 5th, 2017. Mehrzad joined the “California HOPE Team” to support the Thomas Fire Victims’ Psychological needs. Mehrzad has work experience at “All-In Health Foundation” Westwood office, and two different private practice offices in Camarillo focusing on marital/family issues. Mehrzad joined Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) as a Mental Health Clinician since 2018 and is currently working there. Records show that he has been working with over 1400 clients since 2018 at VCBH different mental Health departments such as RISE Program, Star Team, and Conejo Behavioral Adult Clinic.
